Since website design is our business, let's take a look at what webdesign really is.
A website is a collection of information about a topic or subject.
Designing a website is the arrangement and creation of webpages that make up a website.
A webpage consists of information for which the website is developed.
A website might be compared to a book, where each page of the book is a web page. There are many aspects in this process.
For 'normal' websites, the goals may vary depending on the users.
For ecommerce websites, the basic aspects of design are:- The content, substance and information on the site: All of these should be relevant to the site and the visitors that the website is concerned with.
- The usability: The site should be easy to use with a simple interface and easy navigation.
- The appearance: The pictures and text should be of a similar style. The style should be professional, nice and relevant.
- The
visibility: The site must also be easy to find via most major search engines.
A website consists of text and images. The first page of a website is known as the Home page or Index.
Some websites use what is commonly called a Splash Page.
Splash pages might include a welcome message, language selection, or disclaimer. Each web page within a website has its own URL. After each webpage is created, they are typically linked together using a menu.
Once a website is completed, it must be published. This means it will be viewable to the public over the internet.
Once published, the Web master may try to increase the traffic, or hits, that the website receives. This may include submitting the website to a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. It can also be done by linking with other websites, etc.
'Thai web design' as we called it, is a process of 'Thai' planning, shaping and designing.
The intent of 'Thai web design' is to create a 'Thai web site'. Such a site offers Thai content. It is meant for users in Thailand or a Thai person residing abroad.
